Village Coffee, 2011
Marty and Donna Scoggins hired us to convert a former bank located near the University area of New Orleans into a high-end coffee shop. Responsibilities included complete architectural services for demolition, mold abatement, and new partitions, roof repair, repainting of the exterior, new electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, early detection/alert smoke alarm system, new sheetrock & interior paint, doors, finishes, millwork, signage, retractable awning, a full commercial kitchen, graphic design, landscaping, parking lot repairs, new phone system, wireless internet, security alarm system, and new security cameras. We helped them to work through a number of complex regulatory issues and also helped them to secure historic tax credits for the project. Later, the Scoggins came to us once again to assist them with an expansion of their facilities. The current Mayor of New Orleans, Mr. Mitch Landrieu, is a regular customer.
